Artistic Mentorship
According to Will Gompertz, author of ‘We Are All Artists’, in the creative process we need to think about the big picture and the smallest detail at the same time. A small brushstroke can completely change the composition of a painting. When we think about a project, we must take into consideration the various possible ways of creating a kind of common thread, which will create unity in the whole. In this process, reflecting on the context and content is the first step that will help us make the most appropriate aesthetic choices for the idea we want to convey. This course is an invitation to think about and experience all the stages of the creative process, from idea to exhibition. Individual project proposals will be accompanied step by step, always encouraging a focus on process and experimentation. As well as accompanying practical projects, very relevant aspects of artistic practice will be covered, such as putting together a portfolio, writing an exhibition project, and planning an exhibition.
